RESOLUTION 2025-26 

RESOLUTION APPROVING BILL REGISTERS AND  

AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF CURRENT BILLS FOR MARCH 2025 

 

RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners of the Mattituck Park District hereby approves the Bill Registers submitted by the Treasurer at the March 6 and March 20, 2025, meetings and further authorizes payment of the current bills.

RESOLUTION 2025-27 

RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A BEACH WHEELCHAIR 

 

WHEREAS, one of the MPD’s two beach wheelchairs broke last year and the MPD needs two to provide handicap access to both Breakwater and Veterans Beaches 

WHEREAS, based on both feedback from users of the wheelchairs and the durability and maintenance of competing models,  

RESOLVED, the Board of Commissioners of the Mattituck Park District hereby records their decision to purchase one WZ1-ATC-SC, Sandcruiser Beach Wheelchair - adult, Pacific Blue for $2,716.78.  

 

RESOLUTION 2025-28 

RESOLUTION ADOPTING CASH AND CREDIT CARD POLICIES 

WHEREAS, the District’s cash and credit card policies are no longer appropriate having not been revised for several years, 

RESOLVED, the Board of Commissioners of the Mattituck Park District hereby adopts the following cash and credit card policies:

RESOLUTION 2025-29 

RESOLUTION TO AMEND BLANKET PURCHASE ORDER 

 

RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners of the Mattituck Park District hereby approves the following amended list of spending limits by vendor for their respective recurring goods and services provided during the year, amending Resolution 2025-16. These caps serve as pre-approved encumbrances of MPD funds for these frequent and usual expenses for normal operation. Any spending projected to exceed these caps during 2025 will be addressed as an amendment if necessary and appropriate.  [Insert table before adoption] 

 

RESOLUTION 2025-30 

RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE MATTITUCK PARK DISTRICT’S POLICY FOR DOGS ON ITS PROPERTIES 

 

RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners of the Mattituck Park District hereby amends resolution 2023-46 respecting dogs on park district properties and adopts the following policy which shall be made part of park signage: 

  • Leashed dogs shall be allowed on park properties provided the leash is four feet long or shorter. 

  • Notwithstanding the general rule, no dogs are allowed on public bathing beaches from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. 

  • Leashed dog access at Bailies and Breakwater is restricted during April 1 through August 31 as indicated by signage at each property.
